Congratulations to Belinder’s graduating 6th-graders – the Class of 2024!
Today was a day of fun, reminiscing, and saying good-bye to beloved Belinder teachers and staff.
Students were greeted on campus in the morning with a photo- and balloon-lined sidewalk leading to school where they began their day with a teacher-student breakfast in the library. Parents, grandparents, family, and friends then met in the afternoon in the gym for the graduation ceremony with a special guest speaker and special achievement and academic awards and then moved to the MPR for a fun and sentimental photo slideshow and cake.
At the end of the day, the 6th-graders’ last walk down the Belinder corridors as students was to the cheers of all the Kindergarteners through 5th-graders, parents, teachers, and staff along to Pomp and Circumstance over the P.A. system. The day’s festivities culminated with a special graduation party at the Alexander Majors Barn with a DJ, photo booth, food spread, bouncy house, and so much dancing!
Thank you to the 5th-grade students who helped pass out programs, and an EXTRA BIG THANK YOU to the 6th-Grade Graduation Committee for all their hard work helping raise money last year to be used for field trips, holiday parties, and ALL of the work behind the scenes planning and executing the many graduation festivities today:
plus many more volunteers!
Our kiddos are so lucky to have such amazing parents helping to make their final year at Belinder a memorable one!
And to the 6th-graders: best of luck at Indian Hills Middle School and beyond!
