School Volunteers Must Sign Up for MVP Training

All parents wishing to volunteer in the classroom, Chat & Chew (starts in October!), or in other student-facing capacities at Belinder Elementary, must sign up for MVP and/or make sure your status is current. The steps and upcoming schedule are below.

Steps to Become an MVP Volunteer (please do these steps in order):

1. Complete an online MVP application.

2. Attend an MVP training session (see schedule above).  The district offers reserved trainings and open training opportunities. Combined training and fingerprint screening dates are offered twice a month at the McEachen Administrative Center, 7235 Antioch, and require a reservation (volunteer@smsd.org or call (913) 993-6447 ).  Open trainings are available at locations throughout the district during quarters one through three.  The open trainings do not require a reservation.

3. After attending a training session, complete the fingerprint background screening by dropping by the McEachen Center @ 7235 Antioch .
